Who can use AideChoice?
Anyone who needs short-term home care, including people recovering from medical procedures, people living alone who need temporary help, and families looking for support for a loved one.
How much does AideChoice cost, and who pays?
AideChoice is a private-pay platform. You choose a care package based on the hours you need, starting at 3 hours, and every package is $54.99 per hour. The smallest package starts at 3 hours at $164.97. Our three largest packages (14, 20, and 24 hours) are discounted 5%. You can also gift care to a friend or family member. How far in advance do I need to book?
Care must be booked at least 3 days in advance, but the earlier you book (whether that be weeks or months in advance), the better. We do not offer same-day care.
How and when do I pay?
If you book in the app or on the website, payment is collected by card when you book. If you book by phone, you can pay on the spot. If you do not, your request is noted but not secured or confirmed until you pay. Once our team adds it to your account, please pay as soon as you see it, and no later than 4-5 days before your scheduled date.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. AideChoice is designed for short-term needs of 30 days or less. You can book as little as a few hours, or as long as a few weeks.
I have surgery coming up and need transportation and a few hours of care afterward. Can AideChoice help?
Yes. AideChoice connects you with a caregiver from a licensed home care agency who can escort you to and from your procedure, then help with recovery tasks at home, like mobility support, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
What areas does AideChoice serve?
AideChoice currently serves Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia region in Pennsylvania. That includes Montgomery County, Bucks County, Delaware County, and Chester County.
Can I give care as a gift?
Yes. In the app or on aidechoice.com, click the “Give the Gift of Aide” button and choose a package for your loved one. The gift covers the entire package, and your recipient receives a gift code to book their care.
