What is a Support Aide?
AideChoice Support Aides (or caregivers) provide companionship and non-medical support to people who need a helping hand. They can help with transportation, meal prep, mobility, and light work around the house.
Do Support Aides provide transportation?
Yes, but only if you select that you need transportation when booking an AideChoice request! Your Support Aide can drive you or accompany you on public transportation. Mileage fees may apply; see our Pricing page.
Can someone just take me to an appointment and bring me home?
Yes. Your Support Aide can drive you, wait, and bring you home. Most transportation services are booked for 3-4 hours.
I have a colonoscopy coming up. How do I schedule support?
Most people book our 3 or 6 hour care packages for transportation and recovery. Your Support Aide takes you to the facility, waits during your procedure, brings you home, and helps you get settled.
What if I have limited mobility?
Support Aides can help with walking, getting in and out of vehicles, and using mobility aids.
I am anxious about my upcoming procedure. Can AideChoice help?
Support Aides are not licensed mental health professionals, but they can offer emotional support and comfort during times of stress, anxiety, or uncertainty.
Can I book for someone else, like a parent or spouse?
Yes. Many customers book care for a loved one, and you can manage everything through your account.
