Our Process
Do you provide medical or skilled services?
Our aides do NOT provide skilled services such as nursing, physical therapy or other skilled medical service. Our platform should only be used to secure non-medical support services such as appointment escorts, mobility assistance, companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, assistance with personal grooming, toileting and related services to assist clients with activities of daily living.
What does a medical escort do?
Our escorts are experienced and/or certified home health care aides or certified nursing assistants who accompany clients to medical appointments or procedures when anesthesia or sedation is typically used. Our aides will pick the client up at their desired location and accompany the client to and from the procedure. Our aides can stay with the client following the procedure for as long as is necessary or requested by the client or her medical provider.
Do you provide long-term home care services?
No, AideChoice is a short-term home care service for people who require assistance for a limited period of time – up to 30 days of care. Services may be arranged for as little as three to twenty-four hours in a day.
How much does your service cost?
The hourly rate for services is $45/hour. You can purchase a bundle package at discounted rates starting with our 4 hour Bronze package.
Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
No. Our services must be privately paid using a Visa, Mastercard, Discovery card or through Paypal or Venmo.
Are your aides employed by AideChoice?
No. Our aides are employees of our approved network provider agencies. We partner with our provider agencies to ensure that AideChoice aides are trained, background checked and supervised to provide the highest possible quality of services. We require that our provider agencies exceed minimum standards within the home care industry and are vetted quarterly against our quality and customer service standards.
Do you provide services in locations outside of Philadelphia?
Yes, we provide services to clients at this time in southeastern Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Do you charge a separate fee for transporting clients to their appointments?
It depends. If an aide transports a client up to 8 miles or less in a company or aide owned vehicle, then the cost is included in the basic rate of the service, but anything more than this is charged to the client at .56 per mile or actual costs of transportation expense incurred.
How quickly can I expect an aide to arrive once I make my request?
In most cases, we can provide a qualified aide within two hours of confirming your request.
Can I give AideChoice services as a gift?
Absolutely! AideChoice makes it easy to share the gift of care and support with your friends or loved ones. When you purchase AideChoice services as a gift, here’s how it works:

- Recipient’s Code: We’ll generate a unique gift code associated with your purchase. You can choose to receive this code yourself or provide the recipient’s email address during the purchase process, and we’ll send it directly to them.
- Recipient Schedules Services: The gift recipient will receive an email with their unique gift code. They can then use this code when scheduling services through the AideChoice app or website.
